Today nobody is innocent and kind hearted that’s because of two reasons either they are born with such traits or are changed because of some bitter experiences.

It doesn’t take much experience of the world of work to figure out that it’s not always the most competent people who rise to the top. Nor is the fact that someone has a strong opinion on a subject a reliable way indicator that they know anything much about it.

In short, blowhards often manage to sell themselves as skilled, and overconfidence is frequently rewarded.

So how can you avoid being taken in by the loud and self-assured, especially when you’re not an expert in a field yourself?

What are the best ways to quickly and accurately sort the genuinely competent from the merely confident?

In my case all my life I’ve been polite and soft spoken and because of this many people, my friends and my own cousins took advantage of me and used me for their needs.

What have I got for being good to people?

Nothing! So, why should I continue to be like that?

I didn’t change purposely. People changed me and I’ve stopped being polite, soft and nice to people.

From my experience what I understood is there is no place for polite and soft people in this world. The world is occupied with wolves who leaves no stone unturned to tear you down if you are innocent and vulnerable. So, you have to be selfish and clever if you want to survive.

Thank you …. If you have low serotonin, you will think very critically and thoroughly.

Serotonin is the “social” signal substance in the brain. So if you are low in this, you are less social…

One can have normal serotonin levels and be smart. These are the balance people with good or excellent health. When in a resting mode, their serotonin drop down well. These are people that is more likely to succeed with projects.

Most people today suffer from some kind of addiction, keeping serotonin high. Food, coffee, gadgets, sex, music, whatever. So we have far more people in the world, but we have far less people that are calm and thoughtful. We are far more rash and impulsive than before, and it is getting worse and worse.

Envy and jealousy….

And the by-product of envy and jealousy are wanting to be admired and adhered by people, wanting to be look smart in front of other people, wanting to be in control, wanting to be on style in term of knowledge, fashioned.

In other words, wanting to be look different and superior compared to other people and have the spotlight on them.

The presence of smart people made the lesser one fell inferior and the insecurity for the spotlight taken from the lesser one.

I disagreed when people say that smart people are arrogant, they are not. They are confidence on what they know and what they don’t know.

Do you want to add a word or two?

It’s the same with high school, the bullies always on the lower end of the spectrum. The lesser one wants the attention directed towards them, but that spotlight taken over by the smart one.

You never see the smart one physically bullying the stupid one in high school. That is why the smart one always being called teacher’s pet……in other words, “the nails that sticks out got hammered”.

That also applied to the real world in business world or corporate world.

In corporate world ladder its always the stupid one on top of the chain of management(which eventually chooses another stupid one for the upper and middle management and lower management too) , this is doable due to office politics, spreading lies, badmouthing, fake news, hoax, sabotage, defamation, etc.

Hence for the smart one to be able to survive in corporate world is to act stupid, keep their heads down, not disturbing the hierarchy, and keep everything to them self (don’t be the nails that stick out).

Your Comments……

However there are consequences of being stupid, especially the ones in control. it hurts them and other people in the long run.

I spent years in corporate world where the unqualified holds the control and decision and where the smart one just keeping their heads down, whenever a stupid decision was made and latter destroyed the company, it was always the smart one who keep their heads down who resign and look for another job on the first sign of trouble, leaving the unproductive and unqualified goes to panic mode.

Thus since they were actually unqualified, they couldn’t solve the problem they made them self therefore the company shutdown or went bankrupt and eventually laying off all employees.

Here’s the irony, most of the smart people who resign on the first sign of trouble actually knows how to fix the problem, and they just don’t want to tell them.

“Consider it as revenge or payback, that will show them!” as my colleagues once told me.

“But why you didn’t want to fix it, it could catapult your career?”

“Even if I want to fix it, they won’t let me, they know I’ll be taking their jobs, and in the process of fixing it, they will hold data from me, sabotage me, or the worst thing is they will let me fix it but will later claim the credit and get rid of me, so why bother…, it’s a waste of time and energy”.

And it’s the same in the business world, whenever a competitor makes a out of the box move or break through, the only way for the company to make business is to lobbying politician, bribe them, or sabotage the competitor for them to be still in the game.

The sad truth is now day’s wisdom, intelligence, books, creativity and brain powers are useless compared to social rhetoric.

Modern society made it possible for the lesser one to go through ranks in power and control while left behind the intelligence one. But it won’t go without consequences as the lesser one will hurt those self and other people on the long run.
