People like to believe that they are rational and logical, the fact is that we are continually under the influence of cognitive biases.
These biases distort thinking, influence beliefs, and sway the decisions and judgments that people make each and every day.
Sometimes, cognitive biases are fairly obvious. You might even find that you recognize these tendencies in yourself or others.
In other cases, these biases are so subtle that they are almost impossible to notice.
Does it ever cross your mind that when you have thoughts about a person, these could be real psychic signs someone is thinking about you?
Psychic signs are real, and each one of us has one now and then. You don’t remember them? Let me jog your memory.
Have you thought about calling a friend or loved one then postponed, only for them to call you?
That’s exactly what we are talking about. Forces beyond the physical intertwine our lives. The higher your vibrations are, the more you are in sync with the universe. And when you are in sync with the universe, it starts to communicate to you in other-worldly ways.
While some psychic signs might be too subtle for you to notice or even comprehend, they appear more than you think.
There are a few reasons why this happens. One is that only seeking to confirm existing opinions helps limit mental resources we need to use to make decisions.
It also helps protect self-esteem by making people feel that their beliefs are accurate.
People on two sides of an issue can listen to the same story and walk away with different interpretations that they feel validates their existing point of view. This is often indicative that the confirmation bias is working to “bias” their opinions.
The problem with this is that it can lead to poor choices, an inability to listen to opposing views, or even contribute to other people who hold different opinions
Did you just meet someone you can’t stop thinking about them?
You instantly felt a deep connection and romantic feelings towards this incredible person who crossed your path.
But you just can’t get them out of your mind.
I get it. It can feel incredible to meet someone new who uplifts, challenges, and inspires us in new ways.
There are some simple reasons why you are probably thinking about this special person so much.

Thank you …The mind is a mysterious and elusive thing. This list reveals some of the weirdest things about your mind—and mine—and what, if anything, can be done about them.
No one knows exactly what the mind is or how the brain creates it.
It’s weird that the mind even exists.
How does “something as sublime and insubstantial as thought or consciousness … emerge from three pounds of gelatinous pudding inside the skull?”
No one knows. Moreover, even though the mind is created by the brain, the mind can operate with some independence from the brain. In fact, the mind can actually change the brain.
What you can do about it: Nothing. Just be amazed.
Thinking” is the way you talk to yourself. A useful way to think about thinking is to describe it as the way or ways you talk to yourself. For practical purposes, “thinking” and “self-talk ” are the same thing.
What you can do: To find out what is on your mind, figure out what you are saying to yourself.
You can watch your mind at work.
Without tampering with your skull in any way, you can become skilled at mind-watching.
You can stand outside your own mind as if you are watching what is happening to another rather than experiencing it yourself.
Do you want to add a word or two?….
The “watching part,” sometimes called “the Observing Self” (or “Observing Ego”), is somewhat detached from emotions and can view your thoughts and actions with some impartial objectivity.
By contrast, the “experiencing” part of your mind notices sense impressions and has emotional reactions to them.
Personality disorders
Bear in mind that personality disorders are long-lasting and fairly entrenched behavioral patterns.
In fact, the individuals who are displaying the behaviors congruent with most personality disorders are not even aware that their behaviors are disordered.
This means that once the initial attraction wears off and the odd or eccentric behavioral patterns wear thin, there is seldom much hope of seeing lasting change.
Your comments ….
What you think, matters. The more you think a certain thought, the more likely you are to have it again.
Recurrent Negative Thoughts Build Circuits in Your Brain
In your brain, the neural pathway or circuit that represents a particular thought gets activated every time you have that thought.
The more often you think it, the more entrenched that pathway gets.
Let’s say that there’s something new that you start to worry about.
The first time the thought occurs to you, you get a small jolt of anxiety.
As an example, you may have been reading the news online. Another headline warns of a possible recession.
For the first time, you have the thought that you might lose your job if a recession hits. It worries you enough that you start to think about it.
It gets to the point that you think about it frequently, whenever you spend time with your spouse.
They’ve commented that you seem more distracted lately, but you haven’t wanted to bring up why. You don’t want to worry them, too.
There’s no recession yet. You’ve always done a good job, the company is quite stable and your boss has always seemed to be happy with you. But you still worry. Because—what if?
