Dressing well is a subjective matter and depends on your personal style and preferences.
Wear clothes that fit you well.
Dress for the occasion.
Choose clothes that flatter your body shape.
Invest in quality basics.
Accessorize appropriately.
Experiment with different styles.
So life has changed.
What’s the one important thing to an interview that has not changed?
It’s your first impression. In a Nanosecond, an impression of you is formed based solely on appearance.
That’s why your clothing choices can make all the difference. It’s how you communicate your personal identity to others.
Is there anything worse than arriving someplace and feeling inappropriately dressed?
What you wear can seriously impact your professional reputation—and serves as a distraction when you miss the mark. Imagine how much more you’d feel confident contributing in your next business meeting with clothes that make you feel totally powerful and professional.
You need to understand the importance of dressing well.
If you feel limited when it comes to what to wear for any occasion, you should know there is much more to dressing than you might imagine.
The way you dress influences the kinds of impressions you portray. Many people, including the ones seeing you for the first time, make the judgment of you based on the clothes you wear.
That’s why it is very important to take time to decide the clothes to wear as people conclude your personality from how you look.
If you have zero ideas about the best fashion ideas, you can get that in the most unlikely places, and it’s all about combining various elements to come up with a perfect outcome. But to look readily stylish, you need to organize your wardrobe to avoid last-minute choices that may blunder your important occasion.
I always used to dress myself based off what I thought others might say or think about me if I did dress super nice.
Now, I did dress well put together here and there, but you can probably guess that I held in a lot of my true self by doing that. Another thing was people would always push the saying” you go to school for education not for a fashion show”.

Thank you …. Dress According to the Occasion
Never assume your planned occasion can connect with your designer outfit just because you love it. Appearing wearing something off the occasion will display you as ignorant and out of touch with the others.
Wearing to fit the occasion is a basic fashion diktat that you should keep in mind. In fact, when you dress to honor the occasion you are attending, not only will others appreciate your look, but they take you seriously and respect.
It would be awkward to go with a casual look that fits a clubbing setting to an office. The same applies the same if you have been invited to attend your friend’s wedding, make sure you stick to the dressing code.
In case you are not sure what to wear for an occasion, you can enquire from the person who invited you to avoid embarrassing yourself or spoiling other’s events with your special look. Following a simple dressing code of the occasion will help you prevent fashion drama that many people avoid.
It is always an honor to get an invite extended to you and on your end should respond positively by respecting the flow others are using. If it is a black-tie occasion, make sure you dress in something formal and saucy.
When you get it right about the dressing code, you look presentable and attract the right attention from the people who matter.
Do you want to add a word or two?….
Fashion does influence our mental state.
Cuts, colors, and patterns are proven to enhance our mood. One of the reasons is clothes are connected to specific roles.
Does what you wear affect your mood?
Clothing directly affects our mood, attitude, and confidence. It can enhance our psychological state and improve our performance of tasks. We can achieve more when we feel we are dressed for the occasion. The style, material, color, and shape of our clothing choices can express different emotions.
The clothes you wear can change the way you think.
Clothes reflect who you are, how you feel at the moment and sometimes even what you want to achieve in life?
Always remember whatever you wear should reflect the real you. Your dressing sense reflects your personality, character, mood, style and what actually you are as an individual.
Your Comments……
There are many reasons why people might fail at dressing well.
Some people may not know what styles or trends are currently in fashion, while others may not have the budget to afford high-quality clothing.
Additionally, some people may not be confident in their own taste or body shape, which can make it difficult to find clothing that looks good on them.
Ultimately, dressing well is a combination of understanding current fashion trends, having the resources to buy high-quality clothing, and developing a sense of personal style.
Dress in darker colors.
You can get away with buying cheaper clothes in darker colors because quality of fabric and construction don’t show through as easily the darker the fabric is.
This also comes with an extra benefit for people like me who always spill food on themselves.
Darker clothes hide stains. You don’t have to abandon them after the first soy sauce incident.
Whatever message you’re trying to send to the world, never forget the clothes you put that message in will determine the way it’s received. So, dress it carefully.
Picture that dress in your closet you haven’t worn yet because you’ve been waiting for just the right occasion. It’s probably a fancy event you’re waiting on, right?
Something involving a call for black tie, or a wedding where your college friends will not be attending and therefore “stains” are not your primary concern.
Something grand, dramatic…and as of yet, not on your calendar, which means your dress just hangs there, sad and unworn, collecting dust rather than memories.
I’m the worst offender. I treat certain clothes in this one section of my closet as though they were collectable figurines with the plastic still on them.
When I moved, I donated/sold so much that I began to look critically in my closet and ask how much I actually wear — or plan to wear — each item that took up space.
It’s easier to get favorite-but-forgotten jeans and shirts back into the rotation, yet so much harder with special pieces.
But special pieces aren’t special because we reserve them! They’re special because we’ve assigned value to them, because we fell in love when we bought them, because we picture ourselves as better versions of us when we wear them.
