Can you be too extraverted?

Too nice?

Too happy?

Too rich?

Can you be too self-confident?

Too expressive?

Too nice?

Too smart?

 Maybe you can!

Let’s explore the idea that many psychological variables, including personality traits and some skills and abilities are curvilinear when it comes to effectiveness and well-being.

In other words, too much of some, perhaps most, things are bad for you.

It’s very true and universal fact also.

Little sugar for energy and excess diabetes.

Little salt good for body metabolism and excess decompose bones and muscles.

Little tension motivate your to complete work in time and excess tension may lead to brain haemorrhage.

Little laughing good excess lead to madness like condition

Little food gives energy and excess lead to stomach-ache or disorder.

Just the right amount of salt and the omelette is perfect. A little too much and it’s inedible.

Just the right amount of rain and there’s greenery all around. A little too much and there’s death and destruction.

Just the right amount of anesthesia and the operation can be performed without a hitch. A little too much and the patient may die.

Just the right amount of power and your TV works perfectly. There’s a power surge and poof… the TV conks off.

Too much of anything leads to saturation. Saturation of anything isn’t ideal.

Because anything you do in excess, it burns you out at the end.

The point of life isn’t to achieve a certain goal. You know what they say about life: “Life is not a sprint; it’s a marathon.” And the truth is, it is neither of them.

Whether running a sprint, or a marathon, you set yourself an end goal – and that is to reach that finish line. So, is your point in life to reach a finish line?

Does that mean that you shouldn’t set goals in your life?

Absolutely not. But rather than focusing on that finish line, try thinking about way to get to that goal and more importantly – the way to keep that goal, or stay consistent about it.

On the one hand, there is an excess, panic, urgent, and kind of rushed mindset to achieving your goals. And although it might lead to more or faster goals achieved, in the end – it will bore you.

Yup; you will feel exhausted, unmotivated and completely uninterested towards the goal you have accomplished, thus bringing you back to the very beginning – but without all the motivation, desire and passion to reach that goal.

On the other hand, finding balance, trusting the process, accepting the ups and downs, and using them as your advantage changes the game.

Yes, you will run into obstacles, and you’ll definitely be in temptation to quit. But staying calm, reminding yourself that it won’t and can’t always be the way you want it or expect it, will help you get through it, and eventually reach the goal.

But what happens once I reach that goal?

You feel fulfilled, proud and ready to strive for more. You don’t feel burned out, depressed or exhausted, but even MORE motivated, energized, and ready to keep working throughout all of your life. Slowly, but consistently.

And that, to me, is a point to life. To be consistent.

Thank you … “Too much of anything is bad,” might mean “Anything in excess is harmful.”

“You should stop drinking all that water.”

“But water is good for you!”

“Yes, but too much of anything is bad. You’re going to give yourself hyponatremia.”

“Too much of everything is bad.” conveys that everything can be potentially over-consumed to the point where it becomes harmful. You might use “everything” if you have been presented with a variety of items, activities or other options which could be enjoyed to the point of excess.

“We should only make three trips to the buffet. Too much of everything is bad.”

Much is bad.

Too much is bad. Everything is bad.

If you are a hoarder, too much of everything is good for nothing. Too much hoarding of newspapers, magazines and pizza boxes will cramp the space in the house. Playing too much video games dulls the mind.

Too much garbage will make a haven for rats and other vermin.

Too much salt in your meals defeats the purpose of a healthy diet. Eating too much sugar can rot the teeth. Too much rain can destroy the crops and cause flooding.

Too much cold weather and ice can cause severe accidents. Too much fire can destroy acres of land. Too much light keeps me awake at night.

Too much drugs can cause addiction. Too much liquor can make you into an alcoholic. Too much unnecessary plastic surgeries will ruin the body.

Do you want to add a word or two?….

Why excess of everything is is bad?

Because anything you do in excess, it burns you out at the end.The point of life isn’t to achieve a certain goal. You know what they say about life: “Life is not a sprint; it’s a marathon.” And the truth is, it is neither of them.

Your comments ….

If you have too much love peace or happiness, you will become numb to those emotions because you are constantly happy or are being loved or happy, if you are always getting whatever it is you want, then you will no longer be happy, it will begin to feel normal.

This is bad because when it begins to feel normal it loses its good feeling and you get used to it and it may even become sour. You cannot have love without hate, nor can you have hate without love.

If a certain amount is too much for you, don’t have that amount, because it’s too much.

Are we clear on the meaning of too much?

It means more than is good, so much that it starts to become bad. I’m really struggling with what’s bothering you here.

It’s possible that at some other time, that amount is just fine. But whatever amount is too much, right then, is too much, and that’s bad but not too much isn’t.

Too much (overeating) can cause vomiting

Too much thinking can cause headache and can have serious health effects.

Too much work can result in exhaustion.

Too much pressure can cause explosion.

Consumption of too much sugar can leads to Diabetes.
