‘I Am What I Am’. Affirm who you are, your dreams, your hopes and your successes with two of the most powerful words that a person can ever utter – ‘I am’.

These two small but incredibly powerful words should be considered the most precious words that you have in your entire vocabulary.

 Peace is built on understanding, and wars are built on misunderstandings. Never underestimate the power of a single word, and never recklessly throw around words.

One wrong word, or misinterpreted word, can change the meaning of an entire sentence – and even start a war. And one right word, or one kind word, can grant you the heavens and open doors.

People do it all the time. We are always underestimating other people and do so, so frequently, that you would think the human population would learn better. We also overestimate people too but less frequently and that is for another post.

Underestimating others can have unfortunate results. If you underestimating during wartime, you can lose your life and a nation could be destroyed.

I thought that I’d learned a tough lesson with marbles as a kid but as an adult, I again made a number of mistakes by underestimating people.

Psychologist will tell you how we do this but their reasoning is unimportant to me. There is an interesting article on this topic in Psychology about the destructive power of underestimating.

What matters is we do it and do it every day. Leaders must be vigilant about this human weakness and how it can sneak up on your without notice.

We cannot control the way people interpret our ideas or thoughts, but we can control the words and tones we choose to convey them.

We need to learn to control what we say. It is our way of creating a check against negative thoughts and words. The best part is that we can actually learn how to guard our tongue. I will be the first to confess that it will not be easy but will certainly be worth it.

Thank you … If you want to attract more of the things that you really want into your life then you have to start with thoughts and words. We’ll touch on self-talk as a tool to bring our belief system into the reality that we want.

We’re going to touch on the law of the tongue and the part our words play in our lives. And finally we are going to put it all together by asking the universe for exactly what we want the law of attraction to bring into our lives.

Self-talk is a way to control our thoughts and to control our belief system. If you have always allowed your thoughts to go in the direction that they have gone without control then it’s time that you stopped and took control of your thoughts and the power behind them.

We can control our thoughts by monitoring them and when we find ourselves thinking things that we don’t want in our lives we can think the exact opposite. With self-talk we can be pro-active and plant thoughts that we want.

Say to yourself “Money is good, and I have lots of money in the bank, I attract money like ants to sugar.” Use self-talk on anything that you want to attract to yourself – it’s like planting seeds.

The law of the tongue is the same as self-talk except that we do it out loud. The words that we speak become our reality. So before you say something like “that’s killing me” or “I’m always broke” stop yourself and rephrase the words and put them into a positive sense.

Change your thoughts and change your words into “I feel good, I feel great and I will live a long and prosperous life” or “I have lots of money in the bank”. Not only change your thoughts but also change the feeling behind the thoughts. You also have to believe the words coming out of your mouth.

By thinking the thoughts and speaking the words that you want you are activating the law of attraction. Your words are your command to the universe.

Do you want to add a word or two…

If you don’t control your thoughts and your words you will always get what you’ve always gotten.

If you really want to have the things in your life that you’ve only dreamed of then you have to start with your thoughts and your words.

If you can’t control your thoughts then you’ll never be able to control the words that come out of your mouth. And if you can’t control the words that come out of your mouth you’ll never control your destiny.

Watch your thoughts, they become your words;

Watch your words, they become your actions;

Watch your actions, they become your habits;

Watch your habits, they become your character; watch your character,

It becomes your destiny.

Your Comments……

When you’re under pressure a pause can feel like an eternity, but it’s not.

A pause after a point gets the attention of your audience and allows them to take in what you said.

 It also lets them catch up with you and take a breath to get ready for your next idea.

Think before you speak.

Your mind is the most powerful tool you have for the creation of good in your life, but if not used correctly, can also be the most destructive force in your life. To control your thoughts means to influence the way you live your life.

Your mind, more specifically, your thoughts, affects your perception and therefore, your interpretation of reality. I have heard that the average person thinks around 70,000 thoughts a day. That’s a lot, especially if they are unproductive, self-abusive, and just a general waste of energy.

You can let your thoughts run amok, but why would you? It is your mind, your thoughts; isn’t it time to take your power back? Isn’t it time to take control?

Choose to be the person who is actively, consciously thinking your thoughts. Be someone who can control your thoughts—become the master of your mind.
